The aim of the paper was to find measures that can be implemented in small construction companies through learning from larger companies, to eliminate or mitigate the factors that influence non-physical occupational health with emphasis on stress, mental disorders and fatigue. In the study, physical injuries were described as injuries that cause harm to workers spontaneously when presented with a trigger while non-physical occupational hazards are those that are emotional in nature and affecting the psychological wellbeing of the worker and hence mental stability which results to detrimental effects in the company and on the employee. The study focussed on occupational factors affecting stress, fatigue and mental illness as the non-physical occupational hazards.
