first class, you will be split into groups and randomly allocated one tutorial to present.Answers to computational questions are provided so that you know you are on the right track, but for other questions, you don't know if you are right until the teacher tells you so.The midterms is done online at a computer lab. Each person is randomly allocated 10 questions from a huge question bank, so chances are that you won't get the samequestions as your neighbours/friends. Questions are supposed to be easy (accordingto the lecturer). For the finals, I found them manageable and was quite confident of my answers.……I took this in special term II. The reason I took this was because it was a heavy subject (IMO) and I know I will not be able to cope well if I were to take during the normal semester. Thus, I paid an additional fee to take up this elective to clear my Business PE. During the special term, I only have this course, so the workload was relatively very low. I was able to catch up with the lecture. The only bad thing was there was no that the lecturer did not go through tutorial. There were a total of 10 lectures (2 times a week, 3.5hrs each lesson but usually end earlier) and 1 week of study break. I really like the lecturer. He was able to bring across the theory and his presentation very efficiently. In addition, he replied me email when I clarify my doubtswith him (quite a number of qns). One of the best lecturers I came across in NTU. His name is Daniel Ong. I came to the course with my mind set to SU it. However, heshowed to me Business finance is actually very interesting. Unlike other subject, it’s just math and minimal memory work if you practice the work problem frequently. It consists of MCQ and problem solving question. MCQ is the hardest part. Why? This is because it tests your conceptual knowledge to the fullest. If your concept is weak –due to lack of practise, you will definitely do badly for it. I did the question bank(mcq qns) and PYP papers. U will realise that they usually asked the same stuff. So, if you
want to take Business Finance, make sure you have the time to practice as many question as possible. Trust me, last min studying will not help at all. Not for business
