Is this an example of Simpson’s Paradox? If yes, explain why it’s a Paradox and why it’s occurring. If no, explain why not. Yes. The lurking variable here is season. As we can see, Season 1 both of them did poorly, although matt did slight better than Mike but he didn’t gain lots of hits in season 1. Season 2 both of them did great. Mike had lots of hit in season2. So when we combine these two seasons, their performances are different in these two seasons, we get simpson’s paradox.
