There has never been a good printer in the market that can print photos of high quality compared to an ink jet printer. Ink jet printing technology has adopted the use of photo cartridges in order to improve on the quality of photos printed. However, ink jet printing technology also has disadvantages just like any other electronic in the market. Some of these disadvantages include the fact that documents that are printed using the ink jet printers tend to fade faster than the ones done by other printers. The reason behind this
phenomenon is because ink jet printing technology allows the printer to spray ink on the paper through its minuscule nozzles. The printing speed for ink jet printers is lower compared to other printers such as laser. It is therefore not recommendable to print several pages using this kind of a printer. However, advantages of the ink jet printing technology are more compared to the disadvantages making these printers the most preferred choice in the market. Future directions For a very long time, ink jet printers remain the most popular equipment in the market due to their environmental and technological advantages. The tiny nozzles in the print heads of the ink jet printers require the ink used to be runny. This is the reason why documents printed using ink jet printing technology tend to fade after a short period of time compared to other printers. Washed-out color, bleeding and cockling are some of the challenges that have faced the ink jet printers. However, it does not mean that ink jet printing technology does have a chance to experience future growth. In fact, inkjet printing technology has been identified as the next breakthrough in the printing industry. Ink jet printers continue to conquer new customer bases every single day and producers are left with no other choice but only to ensure they improve the experience of their customers in order to win their loyalty. It is almost impossible to imagine the impact of the inkjet printing technology in the next two decades. Some sales experts project that inkjet printers will be household gadgets just like mobile phones and televisions.
The recently launched model of inkjet printer, Impika is deemed as the most efficient printer to be invented. The printer will be able to print commercial prints, transactional prints, catalogues, direct mail and even newspapers. This is like a factotum because it can actually produce the most important documents all at a single station. It forms the basis of imprinting which has never been achieved before.
