The company must train the following employees: safety managers, risk managers, engineering managers, legal team, system coordinator, and health practitioners. Training is focused on the Acts and Regulations obligations, to which employees must understand. The types of training provided are: Understanding auditing principles and processes, process approach auditing, proper audit documentation, practice audit scenarios. Upon completion of the training course the employees will be asked to begin the audit process based on the training provided. I would say the Occupational Health and Safety Management score is moderate because there was no written documentation on training, who, what, when, and where. The following wasn’t documented: what the training was, how the training was conducted, when the training was conducted, and who conducted the training. Unit VIII Course Project 4 reduce those hazards through engineering and/or administrative controls, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This requires upper management, supervisors, and all affected employees to: identify and evaluate hazards, measure workplace improvements, provide PPE, and make sure the PPE is properly used and stored. The company has guidelines in place and they are: upper management will give financial and administrative support to the supervisors and employees to make sure that policy and procedure are communicated and implemented effectively. The employees must attend the training, properly use the given PPE, work with their supervisors to make sure new hires get properly trained, and maintain training records. The Environmental Health and Safety manager will assist wherever needed in hazard calculations. The supervisors must make sure the assessments are guided in the proper direction for their area along with conducting risk assessments on their employees. Understanding is based on how well each employee does on the exam. All employees affected must have the proper training once the policy and procedure is developed by the safety department. Once completion of the training is done it becomes the responsibility of each employee to enforce the policy and procedure if they see someone not obeying it. The Occupational Health and Safety performance was very strong due to the fact the company had taken the proper steps to have guidelines already in place identifying each step of the process. Responsible and Authority The responsible role of an employee for a company would be to include details of what’s needed at the end of the audit. The employee must be honest and professional with their work, making sure to be professional in appearance as well. The employee must adhere to the code of ethics set forth by his/her professional, making sure to conduct themselves per the auditing
