Lab Assignments There will be 7 assignments, corresponding to the 7 modules of lecture material on Canvas. Each assignment has 2 parts: a theory part and a lab part. Together the 2 parts are optional . Assignments are submitted through Catalyst. Partial credit will be given for incomplete assignments You must submit each assignment by 11:55pm on its due date to be considered on time If you cannot submit both parts of the assignment on time, late assignments will be accepted. Assignments turned in after the due date will receive a 20% per weekday penalty. You can also submit your assignment before the due date. It won’t be graded until after the due date when everyone has turned in his/her assignment. Due dates are shown in the Canvas , on the class website Quizzes There is a n Online T/F quiz at the end of each module. Exams There will be 1 midterms and 1 final. All exams are on campus , You need to bring a photo ID (driver’s license or passport), and proof of registration and fee payment. Exams are closed book, and no calculator or other electronic devices Make up for the midterm will be allowed only with proof of emergency reasons or prior approval. Prior approval must be obtained at least the week before the scheduled exam, and the makeup exam will be given before the scheduled exam. The final exam must be taken during the scheduled time, there is no early or late final exam taking. Grading Grading is based on the percentage of the total points obtained: 130 points 24 0 points (7 quizzes, lowest quiz score dropped) Midterms: Quizzes: Final: Total: 130 points 500 points A+: 97-­‐100% B+: 87-­‐89% C+: 77-­‐79%
