and graduate levels of nursing ethics education should be compared with measurable
goals and outcomes.

integrity
Several applications such as Grammarly, Safe Assign and paraphrasing can be used by
scholars or professionals to ensure academic integrity. Walden University Writing
Center (2018b) defined Grammarly as a third party, automated grammar, proofreading
and writing revision tool use d for academic writing and has a feature to check
plagiarism. Safe Assign is a toll used to check for plagiarism from multiple sources in
their data base and scores the authenticity of written work. Students are encouraged to
save their work with Safe Assign to avoid plagiarism. When paraphrasing, a writer
should use her own words to explain an idea and just changing a couple of words from
another authors sentence. When paraphrasing, the authors name, date and page
number should be included.

Strategies to maintain integrity and ethics as a student of the MSN program
As a student will use the Walden Student Writing Center when writing my assignments
and research paper to maintain academic integrity and writing. It is important for me to
master the American Psychological Association writing format which is recommended
by the university for writing and proper citation of references. The University promotes
free sharing of ideas and resources from authors to encourage intellectual scholars. I
will ensure that credit is given to authors that I borrowed ideas from and to properly cite
or paraphrase their work. I plan to continue using antiplagiarism tools like Safe Assign,
Grammarly and proper paraphrasing while writing. The ethics education and code of
conduct of Walden University will guide my academic journey as a student of the MSN
program.

Academic integrity leads to professional integrity. I will use the ethic value learnt in the
MSN program to make decisions in my professional practice. While conducting research
as a professional, I will maintain the writing skills that I acquired as a student to avoid
plagiarism. Keeping up with the current evidence-based professional ethics is important
in my future practice therefore I will join professional organizations. Virtues such as
honesty, do no harm, and maintaining confidentiality of my patients’
