Healthcare organizations should also give nurses more time in order to attend educational courses by not placing so many restrictions on the nursing staffs schedule. Nurses should also be shown the benefit for patients by implementing proven research into their clinical practice. Implementing these four elements could help remove barriers to nurses implementing evidence-based practice by promoting motivation within nursing staff to continuously educate themselves and implement the education that they receive into clinical nursing practice in order to provide better patient outcomes within the clinical setting.The promoting action on research implementation in health services (Parihs) framework provides a systematic framework that nursing staff can use to implement research into practice. According to (Houser & Oman, 2011, p. 91) “ The PARIHS framework provides a way to utilize
3Modelsresearch into nursing practice, it consists of three elements: evidence, context, and facilitation.” The parihs framework postulates that in order for the model to be implemented successfully theremust be clarity regarding the evidence being used, quality in the context of the evidence that is tobe implemented into clinical practice, and an explanation. The explanation of the evidence should be facilitated and through in order for the clinical evidence to be implemented into clinical practice. The parihs model would help in getting nurses motivated and educated on the implementation of evidence-based practice into clinical practice thus creating better patient outcomes by clarifying the reasons for utilizing evidence-based research into clinical practice and the need for continuous nursing education.
