Recommendations for Improving Productivity and Performance Evaluation
In order to improve performance evaluations, the CDC should implement employee evaluations that allow current employees to give their insight on how well a program or service is doing. Most time the data collected with these evaluations don’t include input from the people who use the programs every day- the workers. By getting recommendations about ways to make services better, the agency can focus on what works and what doesn’t.Next, to increase productivity, the agency should work to create incentives for employeeswho have continued optimal health. By rewarding employees for being healthy, it was already shown that healthy workers increase productivity, so if you have more workers striving to be healthy this will not only give them an incentive but in return drive productivity up. Most employees are already working towards living healthier lifestyles for themselves but if their job was rewarding them for it, this would create more of a push to have them strive for. The agency is the winner in this situation because they get healthier workers who want to do the work.
