Veterans Village of San Diego (n.d.), dedicated to this motto “Leave No One Behind” and their mission is to assist America’s veterans in overcoming homelessness and related challenges. VVSD is a non-governmental organization that has been nationally recognized as the leader in delivering innovative services to homeless military veterans. 3. Target population the agency services. The agency service mainly homeless military veterans and their families. 4. Services and programs offered:
VVSD provide many services like emergency housing, job placement and training, assist with legal issues and offer rehabilitation center. Housing: VVSD provides many options for our veterans. VVSD offers two housing options: Bridge and Transitional Housing. They assist eligible veterans in seamlessly transitioning from homelessness to obtaining temporary or permanent housing. However, eligibility and income requirements do apply. Some of the housing services they offer include rent assistance, utility security deposits, moving costs, transportation and assist in securing income benefits. Employment/Training: VVSD offer employment & training services that focus on assisting veterans in getting back into the work force. It may be in the form of either starting a new career or resuming previous career paths.
