O kane and leland exemplify a power relationship kane

This preview shows page 1 - 3 out of 4 pages.

o Kane and Leland exemplify a power relationship: Kane has the power  and Leland is the weaker character His passivity is illustrated by the vertical post that unobtrusively  confines or marginalizes him It’s a physical part of the scene but it is used as a metaphor o During an interaction between Leland and Kane, our perceptual  intention is drawn to the back of the scene because of the diagonals on  the ceiling that begins at the top of the frame and goes back towards  Kane in the back of the room There’s a convergence of lines towards Kane that draws your  attention towards him Example: 6J – Most intricate example of deep focus o Gives the illusion of much greater depth o The three part setup is present, but it is much more carefully  composed because he not only uses the element of architecture but  the element of lighting

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
