Presentations begin on November 8! In S. E. Hinton’s novel, That Was Then, This Is Now , Bryon undergoes dramatic changes in his thinking. Your project challenges you to think of something important to you: friendship, activity, family, school, or a belief that has changed. (You have already begun the brainstorming process in your journal.) • Illustrate the change on a poster or a Power Point presentation. • Use photographs, words, magazine ads, newspaper articles, symbols, etc, to illustrate the change you experienced. • You will present using the visual as your guide. • Your presentation should cover how you were THEN and how you are NOW. Things to consider and refer to in your presentation: • How have you changed? • Why did you change? • Are you better off now? • How do you feel about the change? • Is this a universal feeling or one that only you experienced? Your grade will be calculated based on your presentation in front of the class as well as the appeal and organization of the visual aid.
