insufficient. He put himself in the position of a citizen in order to further understand why and the answer he came to was that when people are frustrated, they put the blame on the easiest person to blame, regardless of the scale of frustration. Essentially that means that a lot of the political tension in our nation is just misplaced frustration and those frustrations are what lead to some excess aggression towards the US government. Saase uses a rhetorical question and the end of this excerpt which sums up everything he wrote so far: "Why are we so angry?". Everyone in the nation feels angry about something. Why is so much pf the anger directed towards the government. Saase believes that it is easier for the citizens to target their frustrations towards the government rather than deal with their problems. Ben Saase, a government official, knows that some parts of the government are not perfect, but he believes that unnecessary anger will not solve anything and will only set us back as a nation. He spreads his beliefs about this by using anecdotes and a first-person perspective, which allows him to see things from a citizen's perspective.
