There are four types of HW that will grow out of reading your textbook: Multiple Choice Questions → write out each question, write the letter of the correct response, and write out the correct response Free Response Questions (FRQs) → write each instruction or question and complete the task or answer the question Chapter Opening Case Studies (COCS), Do the Math (DTM), and Working Toward Sustainability (WTS) → write a summary paragraph for the COCS, solve the problems in the DTM sections and show all your work, write out the WTS questions and provide thoughtful responses Science Applied → there are seven of these extended investigations of specific environmental science topics, write out each question and answer it Once graded, keep HW assignments in the appropriate unit section in your 3-ring notebook so that they are ready to study at the end of the unit! AP Environmental Science Mr. Leslie Guidelines for Homework All Homework in APES is hand-written unless you have a learning plan that specifies that you need to use a computer! Homework in APES is designed to give you a solid set of materials to use when you review for each unit test and to help you prepare for the APES exam in May.
