Career Goals
Career Goals that have been obtained while attending Kaplan University have been to
attend and complete my Bachelor’s Degree. With the experience of 9 years of working within the
population of disabilities, obtaining a Case management position within the field while in my last
class was a goal completion (normally there is not exceptions, its degree or no position). The
journey has just begun to achieve the Master of Science in Psychology within Applied Behavior
Analysis . During the duration of this degree, the interest for promotion is strong. Within the next
three (3) to five (5) years it is intended to move up within the company and continue to absorb all
the training within Autism, special populations, behavior that can be found, by the ten year mark
the goal would be to travel to different school districts, correctional facilities for teens, high risk
homes etc. and be able to implement person centered behavior plans to enhance their way of life.
Additional Education, Licensure, or Credentialing
The long term goal may require more training that would keep training and methods
current with behavioral standards. However, if moving to a different state that and original
B.C.B.A license is obtained, and additional license for that state may be required.

The Career Resource Center at Kaplan University has many different useful resources
that can be used while completing as well as at the end of your degree. The career Center offers
different career options within Applied Behavioral Analysis such as Behavior Interventionist,
Behavior Assistant, Line and Skill Therapist, ABA therapist, Behavior Specialist,
paraprofessional, and B.C.B.A. The Center also offers Resume assistance that provides helpful
tips on how to build a resume and land and interview, this is followed by interviewing tips
information which then can be linked with networking to assist with finding a job ( Kaplan
University, 2015 ) .
Other Kaplan University Resources
Additional Kaplan University resources that can be utilized throughout degree experience
are your academic advisor, financial aid, professors, classmates, deans, department chairs and the
library. The resources are very helpful throughout the Kaplan journey. These resources can be
used with references for employment, funds to complete your degree research for papers.
Resources Outside of Kaplan University
Resources that can be utilized outside Kaplan University are your Psychology groups,
scholar groups, the internet, recruiters, libraries, fellow alumni, all of these resources can be used
to further our knowledge to provide the best possible outcome.

In conclusion this paper identified the concentration area of a Master of Science in
Psychology within Applied Behavior Analysis . It briefly provide an overview of the field. An
overview of the l icensure and crediting requirements for this chosen profession was discussed.
