Conclusion: The general result is that the pH of seven caused the slowest reaction time and the pH of nine had the fastest reaction time. My hypothesis is the higher the pH the faster the reaction will occur. My hypothesis was partially supported in the experiment. While the higher the pH did cause the faster reaction that wasn’t true for pH of 6, it had a faster reaction the 7. So, from slowest reaction to the fastest it went 7,6,8, and 9. Our hypothesis should have said that the reaction would have happened faster and long as it wasn’t at pH of 7. Since we used water as the control group which has a pH of 7, it didn’t react at all, it makes sense that the substrate (H2O2) was at pH 7 it had a slower reaction time than the rest of them. Each variable changed overall changed by increasing the speed of the reaction. Each of the variations changed the results, which was pretty much expected, but not temperature. When you generally change the temperature in a reaction the hotter the temperature the faster the reaction will occur but not in this case. It was the colder the temperature that faster it happened, but room temperature worked best. The reaction did mostly what was expected with a few changes.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
