Part III Playing the role as a graduate aristocrat in the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, I could not conceive being easily converted. Nonetheless, Martin Luther’s focus on bringing the church away from articulation and redundancy to focus more on worship had been one of the more genuine issues acknowledged in Luther’s works. However, there are certain teachings and practices within both the Roman Catholic Church and Lutheranism that correlate with what would best satisfy how God would like his followers to revere. Of the topics Luther disagrees with amongst the Catholic Church, the uneven distribution of power within the religious hierarchy is the biggest issue I am an advocate for in regard to his beliefs. His ultimate motive for causing a movement that had changed the perception of Catholicism had been to modify the church rather than create an entirely new one. By reconstructing the current status of the Roman Catholic Church, it is understood that Luther is only revising certain policies he feels is pushing Catholics away from genuinely glorifying God. The idea of clergymen holding too much authority is evident in several of Luther’s works. As mentioned in “To the Christian Nobility of the German Nation,” there are metaphorical walls that impede the Catholic religion from becoming a truly honorable church. As corruption is indicated, there is urgency for reformation to the Christian estate. The division of individuals through the spiritual and temporal realms is nothing more than a mere categorization. There is nothing that can allow a single person to connect with the holy world while another is only limited to earthly things if everyone is theoretically children of God.
