Introduction: I designed this project for the database management system of a hospital. It stores all the useful records of various information related to the hospital. Also, it helps to update and manipulate the information according the requirement. In this project, we had to create a small database management system for any organization, with five entities and I have completed it meeting all the criteria. Here, in my project there are five entities of the hospital which have at least one primary key and other attributes. The five entities are: Patient, Doctor, Medical Report, Bill and Ward. These entities are linked with each other with the help of foreign keys due to which this becomes a relational database management system. The features of this database management system overcoming the demerits of traditional way of storing the data are listed below: It allows the user to archive the information of particular person from hundreds and thousands of the records. It allows multiple user to access and modify the data, according to the requirement. Here, it stores the data in tabular form due to which every detail is clear and accessible. Data here is stored in secured manner and can be retrieved anytime. According to the queries, the database can be displayed easily. Discussion and Analysis: Database: Database is structured set of organized information stored in a computer system. It allows multiple users to get access to the data and, manipulate and update the database according to the requirement. Every database contains the information in tabular form and these tables are inter-related to each other. They are also called as entities.
