in a way of religion, he argues that religion will shape a persons’ view on the world, and this image of the world can affect their view of their interests, and ultimately how they decide to take action. He believes that humans look at religion when they are in a troubled situation, they will look at god as a divine figure to help them through their troubles, whether it’s for a miracle, or wealth. Weber also separated magic from religion and believed that magic is the “elementary form of religion. And magic is practical action aimed of achieving earthly goods. But when a magician invokes special powers—which Weber terms “charisma” he accounts for those powers by claiming that spirits or other beings are “concealed behind” and responsible for activity of the charismatically endowed natural objects, artifacts, animals or persons” (Weber, 1920 p.3). He believed that the Protestant religion came to change a person views religion, he believed that it made capitalism possible. It changed a persons’ thought on life and that working harder for more money is more important than loving and nourishing your family. He called the Protestant religion a “work ethnic” since it’s a way of pleasing god systematically and avoid sin. Karl Marx was a German philosopher, economist, historian, sociologist, political theorist, journalist and socialist revolutionary.
