together and developed a new constitution which embodied a revised, more successful governmental system. This system incorporated the ideas of the anti-federalists, giving the people their own individual rights and powers, while incorporating this power into one central government. This government split up the power along multiple branches and created a system that worked better for the people. This more powerful government, allowed needed revenue to becollected through taxes that helped in the continuous development of the country. Within this development of a new constitution, both the federalists and anti-federalists played a role. The anti-federalists saw what was happening and wanted add the bill of rights in order to ensure the freedoms and rights to the American people. This addition was very important, but without the federalists the people would have too much power again. This is why the federalists decided to develop the system of checks and balances which split the responsibilities and power of the government and required different levels to work together. Without this addition, we would not have the government we have today, and there would be many more issues with our leadership. While one could make an argument for both federalists and anti-federalists, it is clear thatthe federalists had the more sensible and intelligent argument overall. By supporting a bigger, stronger government which kept the nation in line and also allowed individuals with their own freedoms, the ideas of the federalists became the perfect governmental system for America. Without the ideas and beliefs of the federalists, we might still be struggling with keeping our
nation under the right rule. At first glance people may think that a government giving complete power to the people will result in no issues, but what is a government that doesn’t govern? A nation must have a central government in order to be successful and grow as a nation, otherwise it is only individuals fighting for their own personal beliefs and creating national chaos.
