for all things from taking too long to pass a bill to Congressmen earning too much money. First of all, the American lifestyle is fast pace because we are so advanced in technology that people do not realize that they have become impatient themselves because they are so used to getting “things” done quickly. So, Americans forget that just because life is fast-pace, does not mean that we have to rush making decisions such as passing a bill because these “things” can change our lives drastically either for the better or for worse. Also Hamilton discussed pork-barreling and how it negatively affects Congress. He explains that certain government spending is fine such as the building and maintaining of roads and bridges; however, there is also unnecessary government spending on certain projects such as the maintenance of statues that do not need as much money as they are spending on it. Overall, Congress could better manage their money on more productive projects, or just not spend as much to stay out of debt. Personally, I agree with Mann, Ornstein, and Hamilton on many of the issues they individually brought up, but I have to agree with Hamilton more. His beliefs are more justified, whereas Mann and Ornstein’s beliefs are only supported based on their beliefs and negativity towards the Republican-dominated Congress.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
