I would be very curious to have my neighbors back in my hometown of Sharpsburg, GA take this quiz. The reason for it is because they live on a big piece of land and own a lot of cows and chickens. More than likely, there consumption for land type would be super high for grazing land. Having land suitable for livestock is very important to our economy and our well-being. Without grazing lands, most of our food would come from processed foods that are made in factories. My results can have various effects on the environment. Some of these effects are unheard and forgotten about. For example, Hypercapnia can occur after inhaling too much carbon dioxide or CO2. A lot of CO2 is present in the air that we breathe every single day.

RUNNING HEAD: ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT 5 Typically, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is the most common cause of Hypercapnia, but symptoms can occur by being in places like crowded cities or tight areas. Outside of Hypercapnia, other complications can occur that cause damage to the respiratory system. The respiratory system in the human body is solely responsible for taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide (Respiratory System, 2019). If too much damage is done to the respiratory system, it can lead to more severe complications that may require more extreme measures. Since my carbon footprint is 57% of all my land type consumption, I feel like this would be a good place to start as far as reducing this number. My consumption of carbon is pretty high in comparison to the rest of the land types. This affects my health and the people around me because I am giving off CO2 in the air by driving a car and using a lot of electricity in my household. By doing this everybody around me is breathing the same air because of the choices I have made. I hope down the road I can do a better job of reducing my carbon footprint.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
