1999 - Kevin then photographed and directed the three byone hour documentary series called “The Australians”,about iconic Australian industries. These were “TheMiners”, “The Canecutters” and “The Railwaymen” Theseries screened on SBS television in February 2002.After photographing “Thomson of Arnhem Land” for JohnMoore, Kevin again teamed up with John to make the onehour dramatised documentary called “In the Realm of theHackers”, with John producing and Kevin writing, directingand photographing. The film screened on the ABC in May2003.John and Kevin are currently developing a one hour WorldWar 11 documentary called ‘The Hidden War’. John Moore (Producer)ABC Press KitPage 8

John Moore is a documentary producer of many yearsstanding. From 1992 to 1996 he managed Open Channel, anindependent media training and production organisationthat has provided important and ongoing media access forthe Melbourne community. John has produced a number of award winning documentariesincluding “Guns & Roses” which won an AFI award in 1991,“Barefoot Student Army” that won an ATOM award in 1992 and“Black Man’s Houses”, the story of the struggle forsurvival of Tasmania’s Aborigines which won awards at theMelbourne and Sydney Film Festivals in 1994.More recently John produced and directed “Thomson ofArnhem Land” for the ABC and Film Australia. ‘Thomson’was nominated for a Rocky Award at Banff, a Magnolia Awardat Shanghai and won an AFI Award for editing for AndreaLang. Kevin Anderson the writer/director was the DOP onThomson.Since then John has produced “Children of the Crocodile”for SBS and the dramatised documentary “In The Realm ofthe Hackers” for the ABC. Hackers tells the dramatic storyof the Melbourne computer Underground as it was in thelate 1980’s and was written, directed and photographed byKevin Anderson.Stuart Carter ( Sound Recordist & Second Camera)Stuart Carter is an experienced director as well as asound recordist and camera man. His skills make him aperfect sound recordist for this project as he can shootsecond unit where necessary having already established aclose relationship with the characters and the story.Stuarts work includes “From Here to Ithaca” for SBS, “Menand their Megapodes” for the ABC Natural History Unit.
