Assessment Task 2 BSBWOR501 Manage personal work priorities and
professional development
The meeting was very successful in identifying the issues regarding performance
evaluation by considering organizational policies and procedures for performance
criteria. The people contributed are from different departments of organization.
During meeting, every member was given the equal time for issues in the performance
and their recommendation were provided in the meeting by members. The next actions
and the meeting time were decided for the action plan.
I used following active listening techniques such as
 Look directly towards speaker
 Don’t let the other thoughts and surroundings distract you
 Don't interrupt the speaker
 Take notes
 Node occasionally
 Smile and pay attention to speaker's facial expressions
 Ask questions to clarify the points of confusion
 Provide feedback by rephrasing the point you understood
