break, so do people, but What did it matter? .... It could wait until Auggie was asleep. Couldn't it? It could have. They didn't. Auggie had a bad day, so Via could wait. Right? Yeah, she could…. But if you wait too long, you break. If you put too much to carry on someone's shoulders, and leave them to carry it themselves…. They collapse. Via loved Auggie. She really did. She always seemed to catch the moment of misgiving dread take over a person's face when they saw him, though. She knew he wasn't normal, but that just gave her more of a reason to be patient. To wait until Auggie was tucked in and at peace, whatever peace was in a ten-year-old's mindset. She could wait. For Auggie, anyways. That was Via's mindset. Along with a few outbursts here and there, but everyone needs to have those moments. The ones that we don't necessarily like…. Those are the ones that teach us the most. Without the the sad, and the mad, and all the hurt,
and the waiting, we wouldn't enjoy the happy as much, because that's all we would ever know. Besides, even if it takes a while, we all get noticed. Right? Right.
