HEALTH LAW AND REGULATION5Regulations and laws have had an effect on health care in every way. The laws shaped how organizations run and protect itself and patients from privacy to readmission. Readmission rates to every organization may not have an effect but for others it may as it will have a reduced payment. Those areas with high immigration rates may put out an inaccurate reading resulting in that reduced payment, which can harm the hospital. HIPAA has been around for a while it covers personal health information. A hospital should make sure that its employees are properly trained so that he or she knows the law. The hospital should make sure the information is secure when no one is around so a breach does not occur.
