Discussion sevenOne of the most important reasons for people adopting children who are not related to them isdue to their inability to bear their own children. When people do not have children but haveenough wealth and income, they would opt for adaptation. Secondly, people would try to helpchildren who are orphans or those who do not have any means for survival even when they havetheir parents. The fact that people adopt children out of their own interest and choice helps themshower love and affection while at the same time treat them as their own children unlike thestepchildren who are not one’s choice but forced through a relationship. Thus, stepchildren arenot always welcome in a new relationship which would subject them to discrimination, abuseand even killings due to negligence and abuse.fromDiscussion #7Mar 9, 2021 9:44AMJessica RobertsonHi Madison,This is a well-structured argument. You can explain how the adopted children are kids towardswhom people are directing a huge amount of love out of their own volition whereas they mayseem peripheral when they come as stepchildren. A big reason for the divide in risk is that mostshelter homes do a complete background check of the couple who are adopting the babieswhereas this kind of perspective is missing from most step marriages. This is an awesome littleparagraph that you wrote and I enjoyed reading it so much and reading what your thoughts areabout why do people seek out opportunities.

Also, peoplewho end up divorced or single may have something wrong within them aswell. It is not always given that the partner who is deserting is the problem.Often times, people bully their partners away and get to keep the kids. Insuch a situation, it is no wonder that stepparents fail to show love towardsthese kids because their own biological parent does not either. I enjoyedreading this so much this was awesome reading about your opinion and yourthoughts over the topic.Discussion eightAltruism, was termed by a French philosopher Auguste ComteThough the word Altruism is often understood as synonym of selflessness, it is also linked withkin selection, which is identified as an adaptive function, which ensures, the favouring towardsthe organism’s relatives to pass on the genetic composition of a population to the futuregeneration, which has an undertone of selfishness.Altruistic behaviors lacking adaptive function:But often it is noted from the acts of peoplethat, some times, they end up in altruistic behaviors , that are not at all of adaptive functioning innature and completely selfless in nature.Example:When a particular community, which isminority population in a country is haunted by the majority officials, a set of common people
