Since many of these organizations are raising money by creating products for the community, I concur with the point that they should be permitted to engage in activities that produce revenue. Although many NPOs are not established to pursue profits, they find themselves having them sometimes. It is important to note that the organizations are not denied to make profits as long as the revenues are generated through their mission-related activities (Ben-Ner and Ren 348). Similarly, some profits are taxable, and others are not since many organizations operating as a nonprofit engages in related business activities that help in sustaining their primary mission; thus, any profits from such operations are exempted from taxes.
