questioned the teacher or the person organizing it were often seen as disloyal or a traitor. The problem has never been solved. People continue with the idea to leave the country due to lack of democracy or freedom of expression, and others keep participating in the act of repudiation against them. Some government supporters believe in the idea that these acts are going to make a change, and others just adopt the opinion of the rest of the group, due to fear of threats, and harassment from the government. I would dare to say, that in this particular situation we can appreciate many characteristics of "Groupthink." Unquestioned Belief in Group Morality: Being such a highly cohesive group that shares similar ideals, they have the false sense of belief that their decisions must all be morally correct, thus forcing them to ignore the consequences of such decisions. Rationalizing: While making decisions, despite suggestions and validations of a particular choice being harmful or incorrect, the group tries to justify their actions with misguided notions. Stereotyping: One of the most harmful consequences of groupthink is the stereotyping of those people who do not share the views, ideas, and opinions of the "in-group." Also, "illusion of unanimity," and "direct pressure." Perhaps if we analyze this situation more deeply, we can find more characteristics. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
