Andrea Muller Stages of Genocide List Week 5 7: Extermination When the extermination is put into motion, it is swift and systematic and these mass killings are legally termed as “genocide”. Murders are termed, as “extermination” given that the killers believe the targets are less than human than they really are. An example of genocidal extermination was during the Holocaust, the Jews were removed from the rest of the population. They were inhumanely imprisoned, where they were starved, gassed, tortured, forced to participate in medical experiments, and shot execution style. 8: Denial Denial takes place immediately after the genocidal event, although this is not a guarantee that the genocidal killings will not continue. The perpetrators do not believe they have perpetrated any wrong doings. Therefore, the genocide will continue until the tyrants are forced to surrender or exiled into hiding. Unfortunately, not all genocidal accused persons are captured and brought to justice. An Example of this genocide is when the Nazi's, attempted to hide a large portion of their mass killings by destroying the death camps where they executed the Jews.
