First when thinking about the mission of a company is to deliver what ever type ofproject will be to deliver a project on time because that is what is expected. The ProjectPortfolio Management (PPM) team has a very hard issue of putting the correct people on the Project Management Office (PMO) that will help add guide the project managers to make sure that the office tasks are taken care of from start to finish.Next the project team must look at the goals of the project. Again a service or product must also be delivered on budget and on time. It is crucial when it comes to both of these items because companies will not re-hire or look to this group or company if these are not accuring. Many times a companies mission and goals can be often and similar but when it comes to he project managers, if they are not getting the projects on time and on budget then the portfolio manager will need to make a change to get these items corrected.
Mission and Goals 3Finally when a mission and goals are set for the project. They must be met and hopefully in a way that keeps the projects coming to the group and/or company to make sure the companies mission to grow and expand then theses goals will help the more successful projects are completed. The portfolio management team can help the teamsby helping to manage the project managers setting realistic goals that the teams can meet. Then the mission can and will be achieved at the end of the project.
