The infant is in the indiscriminate attachment phase

This preview shows page 1 out of 1 page.

The infant is in the Indiscriminate Attachment phase of development. She enjoys being held by everyone in the room, if you smile at her she smiles back at you or its gas. It can be hard to tell. I do not see any threats to attachments with this family. The father is present and an active member in helping to raise the child. There was no unhappiness about the pregnancy, it was planned. This baby and mother do not have a fuzzy connection; it's real as real gets. There are no developmental disorders that are present in the baby at this time. The temperament for the baby is excellent, napping and sleepy along with slightly fussy. Everything you would expect out of a newborn. With all of this going on they also have a 2 ½ year old in the home. Eva is the older sister. She has begun to act out due the attention being given to her new sister. Jamie and Anthony are doing a great job of including Eve in the activities that involve taking care of her new sister. They give her small responsibilities that allow her to have some importance and role in all of the new activities that are going on the house. I think it is a great way to get her to take ownership of what is going on and get the sister to buy into the new family arrangement.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
