Safety standard is a safety test that must be preformed before purchasing a vehicle. The safety test checks brakes, lights, tires, engine, body and all other relevant parts of the vehicle. Vehicle Emissions testing is required by the Ontario law. The Ontario law emission tests must be repeated every 2 years and every vehicle must pass this test. Whenever you buy a car, before it is registered it requires an emissions test, unless it is new or up to 5 years old. 3. Explain the legal consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol? Driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime under the Criminal Code of Canada and the consequences are serious. The amount of alcohol in your body is measured by the amount of the alcohol in your blood. This is called blood alcohol concentration. In Ontario and the rest of Canada, the maximum legal blood alcohol concentration for fully licensed drivers is 0.08 percent blood alcohol count. The legal consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol include: losing your licence having your vehicle impounded
