client or potential client. Understanding someone’s personality at its core is a great way to learnhow to adapt to others and create a unique approach to engage an individual be it on a personalor professional level. Conclusion
6There are several benefits to utilizing multiple theoretical approaches to assess anindividuals’ personality. Every personality is unique and complex. There may be somesimilarities, but no two personalities are the same. Different approaches can highlight areas of apersonality that others may miss. Due to the complex and evolving nature of ones’ personality, one can benefit from not being categorized by one theory but using multiple theories to expressthe traits and individual personifies. Taking the assessment allowed me to see my behaviordifferently. I don’t like crowds and don’t find enjoyment in holiday shopping in a store. I’d rathermake my purchases online and have them delivered to my home. I discovered I am an introvertand find pleasure being in my own company. This isn’t to say that I don’t socialize, because I do,however my preference is to be alone. With an assessment, I probably would’ve neverunderstood why I behaved in this manner. Nevid (2015) found that self-reported personalityinventories provide the advantage of personality measurement, that otherwise wouldn’t bepossible. This is beneficial because it helps individuals understand who they are from a differentperspective.
