2.Do you think this change could have been implemented differently? Faster? -It took them a couple of years to set up mini factories. If this was rushed to be much faster there was a chance that it could have not done the way that it did. Change that isn't properly explained or handled is met with resistance. 3. How was ‘resistance to change” managed?
Image of page 1
-The resistance to change was managed with the employees being told that if they wanted to reject the new system being put into place and not change with the implementations that they could go ahead and leave the company because these changes needed to happen. For those who did want to be apart of the change training programs for operators and leaders were provided for them. 4. What do you think Zobrist and Verient should do now to respond to the three challenges at the end of the case? -Zobrist initiated a series of innovations. However, the organization is met with three challenges. The first being growth. The company has expanded and its systems have adapted to that growth by regularly adding new mini factories that are created for new clients. There has been a loss of specialization and less expertise being shared between mini factories. -It appears as if the first two challenges have to do with their customer relationships. They need to figure out a system in which they are able to have more contact with their customers. They need to make it a priority for them again. -For the last challenge being about the workforce aging, and how it is hard to imagine being replaced by someone other than a person from the inside. There is an average age that is high. Meaning there could be a large number of employee retirement, leaving the company struggling to find replacements for a large number of employees. One recommendation is to start taking this into consideration and hire and train people to replace those when the time comes for the older employees to retire.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
