Tiffany , I agree that when individual s know their social and situational roles , they are not only more comfortable with themselves, but also be able to provide better care in context of primary care . This is because of their increased confidence in knowing what is required from them and where they should place them in when providing care. Role conflict s occur when providing care. Nurse practitioners in the role of primary care provider collaborate with other healthcare providers. Healthcare providers having different opinions on how to treat certain conditions are inevitable. For example, from a nephrology standpoint, having contrast or certain antibiotics will cause harm for patient’s kidneys. In some cases, patient’s kidney will shut down even just for one treatment. For a neurologist CT scan with contrast media is necessary to diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The same goes for the patient’s cardiologist. Coronary angiography is necessary for diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease. It is important for p rimary care providers to recognize the role conflict and communicate with the patients and other healthcare providers to collaborate for an appropriate treatment plan for the patients. Dr. Drake, Both factors play important role in transformational leadership with a trait that is learned over time and experience weigh more than innate for leaders. Transformational leadership requires a leader to work with its followers to identify needed change to implement the changes

As a nurse advanced into an advanced practice nurse, from novice to expert, one must have relevant years of experience to be able to discuss what changes are needed with its subordinates.
