BSC 1010L MW October 31, 2018 Maya Miller | Ashton Frias Just above the line 3 different colors are presented: green yellow is escaping the green. After observing for 10 minutes, below the line, the chlorophyll is fading as it travels above it. After viewing it 15 minutes the yellow traveling to the top of the paper is becoming more opaque as if it is getting darker. The chlorophyll below the line has almost disappeared. Conclusion As a result of part one of the experiment, the chromatography paper revealed multiple colors were released from the chlorophyll. The colors developed individually as they began to rise above the drawn pencil line. The first color was a light yellowish-green, the second color was a cool green, and the third color was a primary bright yellow. Therefore, my hypothesis was invalid. This is factual because I assumed the spinach leaf would only release one pigment.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
