According to our data, there are many accidents during working. In the
graph, LTI(Lost Time Injury) is the high accidents while LTIFR(Lost Time
Injury Frequency Rate) is the lowest injury. Also many accidents are not
reported at the time of happening.
Therefore, we need to
 Concentrate on the safety and health of employees in the workplace
and should act tough
 Also concern with the state of the workplace
 Solve how the surrounding environment in the workplace against
workers
 response of the employees about their workplace adequate or not
 educate workers and aware of WHS
Recommendations
Preventing workplace accident can be reduced considerably by these
following points:
1. There must be a clear top management commitment in allocating
resources for improving health and safety at work place.
2. A good housekeeping at you work place reduce the accident of slip, trip,
fall, fire and biological hazard.
3. Provision of even floor surfaces, good lighting and unobstructed
walkways prevents accidents.
4. Provision of training to workers on emergency situation - for instance in
the event of fire break out or chemical spills - the need to evacuate the
people as well as mitigating the situation, the need to clean the spills
immediately, these training can improve the skills of the works and how to
react in the event of emergency to safe guard themselves and others from
the hazard.
5. Improve the behavior of the workers by clear line of communication,
involving workers in management actions as they have bonding towards

the work method and follow the safe procedures which will reduce
accidents.

Section 22(1) of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 : Workplace
Health and Safety is ensured when persons are free from:
• death, injury or illness caused by any workplace, workplace
activities or specified high risk plant
• risk of death, injury or illness created by any workplace, workplace
activities or specified high risk plant.
Risk: Something by its nature having the potential to damage or
cause injury.
Hazard: The likelihood of that potential being realised.
Dangerous event: An event at a workplace involving imminent risk of
explosion, fire or serious bodily injury.
