The ethical code of conduct includes societal, individual, organizational, and occupational ethics in a home care setting. The following are examples of what would be used in this setting for each ethic: Societal 1. Work to classify and meet the needs of the clients in the community. 2. Provide prospective clients with sufficient and precise data, empowering them to make rational choices regarding services. 3. Inspire and contribute to open discussions on healthcare issues in the community and society. 4. Work to support access to all clients based on the needs of the community. Individual

Avoid practicing or facilitating judgment and institute precautions to prevent discriminatory practices. 3. Demonstrate zero acceptances for any mistreatment that compromises the client. 4. Work to ensure the existence of confidentiality and privacy to clients. Organizational 1. Provide services reliable with obtainable resources, and when there are restricted resources, work to ensure the existence of resource distribution. 2. Conduct both competitive and supportive events in ways that increase service to the client. 3. Lead the company in the use of improvement of standards of management and thorough business practice. 4. Implement an organizational code of ethics and monitor compliance. Occupational 1. Conduct proficient doings with honesty, integrity, respect, fairness, and good faith in a means that will echo upon the profession. 2. Conform to all laws and regulations relating to in home health care. 3. Avoid the improper manipulation of professional relationships for personal gain. 4. Disclose financial and other conflicts of interest. Legislations Influencing Health care in Home Care setting. They are legislations that influence work practices on the health care and social care sectors. They generally include children, youth, and adult protection, disability, diversity, equality, and physical and mental health among other health concerns in the society. Therefore, in agreement with Scambler, Scambler & Speed, p. 213, 2014) the legislations influencing healthcare in home care setting include: Health and Social Care Act 2012 The Act aims to improve accountability and quality care bestowing freedom to NHS providers, encouraging efficient and effective provision of services, and encouraging service by high clinician involvement.

Ethics and Values in Health and Social Care 5 Mental Health Act 2007 The Act oversees and safeguards mental illness patient’s rights, autonomy, and dignity. It needs collaborative working between every agency influenced by a patient or client especially after redefining specialist roles.
