to tire until one of her shoes falls off. She walks around with her shoe in her hand until a volunteer calls for her to put it back on. Jenny walks away from the group to a table with seat which is away from the rest of her class. She smiles when others pass her. A volunteer sees that she is away from the group and goes to sit by her. She talks to the volunteer and the volunteer is talking back to her. She keeps walking around and around one of the benches. Now she is wanting to explore. She walks over to the side of the playground where there is a mound of dirt. The volunteer follows her over there. While she is playing, another child from her class comes over to see what is going on. Jenny starts to slide down the dirt pile without a worry in the world.The back of her pants are covered in dirt but she is still playing and sliding down the hill. After a few minutes of playing on the dirt mound, she walks away and goes to the oversized blue building blocks where some of the older kids are playing.Time: 3:45 PMSetting: One of the volunteers picks Jenny up from where she was standing and carries her over to the rest of the class. She gets set in a tire and as set is set down, she gets up right away and walks to over to a group that is playing with a sheet on top of a tire. She follows two children to a tire that is a little bit away from the rest of the group and they play with the sheet
over there. When the two kids are called back to their classroom, Jenny sits down on the sheet and just looks around. One of her friends from earlier, comes up to her and they both of them play with the sheet. They are dragging it all around the yard, giggling as they go. Each one pulls one end and they walk in sync. A volunteer notices that Jenny’s diaper is wet and brings her in to get changed. As she is getting changed, the rest of the kids are just playing around outside. Two of them are still on the buggy, one is holding the hand of the volunteer and the majority are in thetires when there is another volunteer singing to them. There are kids of all ages ranging to aroundfive years old outside, interacting with one another. There is this one child who won’t stop crying; whenever somebody leaves he is in tears. A teacher from another class picks him up and comforts him; she bounces him on her him and just talks to him. Jenny and the volunteer who brought her in are now outside but they are on the other side of the yard. The volunteer brings Jenny back to the group after a couple minutes of exploring and she sits down on a fake car. Then she goes and sits on the buggy with another boy. Time 4:00 PMSetting: We are still outside but I think is it about time to go back. While the younger kidsare getting fastened in their seats, Jenny is making sure that they are all secured. She then decides to get on a bike that is right next to the buggy but her legs are too short to reach the pedals. After about five minutes of corralling all the kids on the buggy, it is time to go inside. All
