wasted and leaves and ends up at a station.
It seems to me that Myrtle really thinks that Tom loves her. She is nothing more than a sidechick to Tom, but it seems like she doesn’t understand. A man who is married that is being patronized by another women by saying their wife’s name “Daisy! Daisy! Daisy!’ may seem annoying. I wasn't expecting Tom to react the way he did and it was totally uncalled for and neither did Myrtle expect it. Chapter 3 The main part of this chapter describes how Gatsby’s parties are not ‘normal.’ The parties are the epitome of how grand a party can really be. In chapter 3, we see that Nick gets invited to Gatsby’s party. He has never met him, but this mystery grabs his attention of trying to find out who he really is. The party amazed Nick as he see so many people having a great time while looking for this so called “Gatsby.” The people at the party don’t even know him personally and just come because they feel like it. Nick was the only person that was invited so it foreshadows that Gatsby wants to really meet with Nick. I feel as if Nick has reason to be slightly curious to find out who Gatsby is. For a man who was the only one invited, it makes you really wonder what is the reason that he wants Nick to come to his party. Nick tries to look and ask everyone he comes around to find him. As big a Gatsby’s party is Nick felt like he was special to attend such a grand party. Chapter 4 In this chapter we see that Gatsby is trying his best to make sure that Nick doesn’t find out the real him. His wealth was obtained from bootlegging and he wanted to make sure that Nick didn’t think the rumors about Gatsby were actually true. He didn’t want Nick to be When Gatsby introduces Nick to Meyer Wolfsheim he was the man that rigged the world series back in 1919. Which then also shows that there is a sort of shady type of deal going on with the type of people Gatsby associates himself with. Whether it’s business or not, Gatsby is a guy that does things he should not be doing to get his wealth. My first impression gatsby was that I thought he was shady character. Not only did Nick specially get an invite to his party, but he then starts to think about asking Nick for a favor. It shows that he had this set up for Nick to go to his house just so he can see if Nick would help him with getting Daisy in the same place as him. That just shows how determined Gatsby really is to see if he can get Daisy back in his life. Chapter 5 Gatsby's plan of meeting Daisy worked since Gatsby finally gets to see Daisy after 5 years apart that they had since he went to war. It was an awkward moment for both of them.
