This characteristic makes Shanghai stand out because the city has the country’s foreign exchange system which is called the China Foreign Exchange Trade System and that has been in the city since the early 1990’s.

4 The second characteristic of this city that I found appealing was this city has expanded so immensely until now. “Most scholars believe that about 70% urban population will be urban by 2050 […] Shanghai undergoes a booming economic prosperity, the gross domestic product (GDP) amounts to 2160 billion Chinese RMB Yuan. This quote show’s how scholars these days believe that 70% of global population will be urban and that percentage also counts towards Shanghai expansion because of migration within the urban area because of increased demand because of different land types and the transition to the city population. Shanghai is in the coastal zone since it’s the most populated reaching population density because Shanghai went through an economic prosperity luckily. This happened around 1978 where the city’s GDP went up about 50 times higher than before and the increase of urban areas started to grow faster than ever. Shanghai went through the industrial phase and had started to have more development where it leads to more advanced technology. A few factors that also came into play for
