Wal-Mart offers products with its branded name such as Sam’s Choice, Great Value, and Mainstay. Its employees participate in training sessions to help with solving issues and providing the needs and wants of customers. To obtain more customers, Wal-Mart introduced a new slogan, “Save Money. Live Better”, focusing on lower prices and gaining loyalty from customers. After analyzing the current strategies used by Wal-Mart Inc., the company should consider making some changes to accommodate the demographics around its stores. Consumers are aware of eating healthy to live more productive lives so they are becoming health conscious,
12Wal-Mart need to offer more fresh produce and organic choices. More vegetarians would shop for their food at the stores instead of going to organic food stores like Whole Food Markets and Spourts Farmers Market. Improve customer’s in store experience becoming more efficient with available products on sales floor, providing the customers with clean facilities, and friendlier employees who are willing to help customers, these tactics would lure customers coming back to the stores. Wal-Mart has been successful in the United States market since the opening of its first store, Wal-Mart need to focus on product expansion overseas because expanding in emerging markets can provide the growth for the country and the company will benefit from low cost pricestrategy. Wal-Mart would continue to soar as the retail leader in the US, while benefitting from growth internationally. Implementation PlanAs a major international public company, Wal-Mart’s objectives should be based on customer orientation, value-driven, and goal-oriented. Wal-Mart wanted to implement a plan thatwould ensure the company to remain the retail industry leader. How can Wal-Mart continue to seek long-term relationships with customers instead of seeing each sale as revenue? Foremost, employees need to have good attitudes towards customers, so the customers would want to come back. Customer service plays a significant part in growing a company, because it the company’s customer service is not good the consumers will choose another company perhaps the company’scompetitor. Wal-Mart can conduct a research on their customers to improve their in-store experience as well as their online experience. Developing the understanding of the trends of customers and creating new analytical tools. Another tactic Wal-Mart can used is being located at the right place at the right time. Being positioned correctly can satisfy the customer and be in the most convenient location can not only produce revenue both satisfy the customers’ needs and wants.
