Questions may come from anywhere in the assignments so be sure to read completely and don’t neglect the cases and vignettes. Weekly Quizzes . Weekly content quizzes open every Thursday evening at 9 pm and be available until 12 midnight the following Monday. Quizzes will be short and consist of 15 MC and TF type questions worth one point each, 15 points total. You will be given a maximum of three attempts with a four-hour waiting period between attempts. The average of your attempts will be automatically entered to the grade book. Complete instructions will be given for each quiz (and exam) but there are a few important points to mention. What you can have open and use is the quiz itself in iLearn and the E-text only in Mylab – nothing else. For all quizzes and exams, having a reliable internet connection is your responsibility. When taking a quiz (or exam) never leave quiz windows for any reason other than going to your E-Text, as this will automatically be considered cheating and void your score. Do not access other course materials during a quiz. Do not have any additional windows or devices open. Do not browse the web. Do not access any files at all; stay with the quiz. Absolutely do not sit next to another student while taking quizzes or exams. If you share a home computer system with a single IP address, make sure you take your quizzes (and exams) in different parts of the day, if not on different days. Deviations from these guidelines may be detected and if so will be considered as cheating and your score will be changed to zero. More details on what you can and cannot do on quizzes are provided in the next section on examinations and in the instructions for each quiz. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON CHEATING Any indication of cheating on a quiz will result in a score of zero. If there is any suspicion of cheating on the quizzes, the professor may ask you to take either or both examinations in-person. Resist the temptation – it is not worth it. No one ever thinks they will get caught. It is always a very unpleasant and costly surprise when they do. Every semester some try and some get caught. Don’t be among them. EXAMINATIONS There will be a midterm and a final examination, both in iLearn. You will have one attempt for each. There will be something like 40 to 60 multiple choice and true false questions. While you are allowed to use your E-Text during both the midterm and final, you should not rely on it exclusively as you will not be able to look everything up. Some questions will require reasoning and thinking through to find correct answers. Conserve your time by looking up only those questions about which you are unsure.
MIDTERM EXAM: Exact dates and times To be Determined but after completing chapter seven.
