impossible for farmers to grow a healthy crop. Due to the lack of water, the soil becomes unmanageable or unusable- due to the lack of power, the farmers are unable to maintain and harvest mass quantities. to die due to lack of food and resources. Hunger is more than just people starving, “it has many contributing factors: natural disaster, discrimination, war, and poor infrastructure.” (4) A great point that I read somewhere during my research said something to the effect of: food shortages are not always about lack of food, being as though America has so much to waste. It’s really about getting the food to where it’s most needed and the inability of the hungry to afford it. From my perspective, that is exactly it. those who need it, that is creates more of a hassle. What is all comes down to is that the world is facing a hunger crisis unlike anything we’ve seen in more than 50 years. “Worldwide 1.4 billion people live in extreme poverty and 14.6% of households right here in America struggle to put food on the table.” (5) That is an incredible percentage being as though America is the world’s richest country, and that many people are struggling to make ends meet. If that’s the case, the rest of the world is in much worse shape and headed toward a bigger disaster.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
