With chemistry an individual needs to be precise and accurate when conducting his or her experiments to receive the correct outcome (ThinkQuest, n.d.). How Society Depends Society depends on the accuracy and precision of products sold by retail companies because if the wrong measurement of a product is added, it may result in an injury or death, especially concerning medication. Society would also expect accurate and precise measurements of a product concerning the cost. If an individual is purchasing a gallon of gasoline for $4.50 a gallon he or she would expect it to accurate and precise. An individual would not want to purchase a gallon of gasoline for that price, when the quantity he or she receives is less than a gallon.
