The Role of Technology in Improving Healthcare Outcomes
PROFESSIONAL CAPSTONE AND PRACTICUM REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 8 The rapid growth in technology has helped to revolutionize the healthcare sector over the years. The use of technology such as the Hospital Information Systems has helped to make services offered in healthcare facilities more efficient and easily accessible by the patients who need them. Technology has helped to improve communication among nurses and other healthcare personnel. It is now easier to share information more quickly among the healthcare practitioners and this has made it easier to provide care to more patients who need it. Effective communication leads to more collaboration among nurses and therefore creating teamwork which is essential for effective delivery of services to the people.
