HEALTH ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN 9 In an effort to eliminate the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS in the country testing and treatment should be at the forefront of early intervention. Nurses have a role to play in promoting, advocating, and protect patients’ rights in areas of lobbying to states official to bring positive changes to health care (Lanier, 2013, p. 47). The paper discuss the need for increase testing as a cost-effective venue to encourage more testing. The need for disclosure in the Emergency room, including pre-counselling to suspected HIV patient. Through public health and legislators involvement obstacles can be overcome creating an awareness of HIV/AIDS and the need to eradicate the disease in the near future.
