Furthermore, when considering freewill, we must understand that genuine responsibility includes the possibility of doing good and evil. Therefore, our free and responsible choices may unfortunately allow the possibility of moral evil. Since God has given us such rights, then his principles still remain true, and his existence justification must be compatible with moral evils. We have to also consider that without evil, pain, or suffering we would not be able to justify a morally good decision, and in turn means that good cannot exist without evil as well. For example, without history of terrible natural disasters or deadly outbreaks of diseases, then we would not be prepared in the future and be able to morally justify our decisions that God gives us the freedom to make. Humans grow and learn from past decisions and events that happen.

Peter Singer argues that if an all-good God existed then evil in the world wouldn’t exist, because if an all-good and all-powerful God existed then he must be powerful enough to give us freewill without evil and suffering. He further backs this statement by also claiming that an all-knowing God would know when something bad is going to occur and his omnibenevolent principle wouldn’t allow the bad to happen.
