Additionally, as part of the provisions that Medicare has established, it is outlined that individuals are able to receive wellness screening upon enrollment, which helps individuals who are not able to afford the mental services that private health care offers. Recommended Steps to Address the Implications of PPACA As a health care administration leader, it is imperative that appropriate steps are implemented to address the implications of PPACA. Examining employees’ health care packages is important as it provides a starting point that can be evaluated and aligned to see if the organization complies with the ACA guidelines (Adkinson and Chung, 2014). The health care organization than needs to determine if the PPACA has an employer directive and if it is mandated, the facility must weigh the options and determine if it is in the best interest to provide the benefits or if they are willing to accept the consequences outlined under the reform law for failure to offer health care coverage. Furthermore, the health care organization must ensure that the benefits offered are affordable under the PPACA. It is important that the organization identifies parties which will be provided the plan which must meet the PPACA standards (Adkinson & Chung, 2014). The benefits offered must be in compliance with ACA.
